Go Direct 3 or Websaver 6

I've been thinking of changing electricity plan or supplier. My current supplier, Southern Electric, suggests I could save money by moving to Go Direct 3. But if I changed to this I am stuck in a year contract and the unit prices may change over the year and so may not end up cheaper in a few months. I'm a little confused though as the unit prices they gave me are different to the ones that show on comparison sites.
I looked at British Gas Websaver 6 where the unit price is fixed until 2011 and I am only tied into a contract until Aug 2010.
Go Direct 3, on current unit prices, is slightly cheaper (by about £20 a year) than Websaver 6, but I suspect that Go Direct 3 prices will increase as there not fixed.
So now I am in a dilemma as to which to switch to. I either change to Go Direct with my current supplier, and I assume change will be immediate. Or I go to British Gas and the switch over will take 6-8 weeks. With British Gas I know the prices will be fixed and I can always switch again in Aug, but with Southern elec the price may increase and I will not be able to switch until March 2011 without having to pay £50 exit fee.
I know no one can make this decision for me, but I'm wondering if people can share there experience of Go Direct 3 or Websaver 6.
Many thanks.

The unit price on WebSaver6 is not fixed, it is a 'tracker' tariff. It'll always be at least 6% cheaper than standard rates.
