looking for cheap 5* holidays for 1 week or 2 weeks.
Any location except spain, egypt and greece.
Looking to go end of aug, sep or oct
Anyone got good website suggestions?
The usual lastminute.com, expedia are so !!!!!! for holidays. They must be the most expensive websites except for those agents with shops on the high street e.g thomas cook etc

What do you call cheap? If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Found Dominican Republic 4* 14 nights all inclusive in september for £500
Mexico 5* 14 nights all inclusive £659 in July.
The July one in Mexico is a bit too early and given that it is hurricane season in the Dominican Republic from July to October the initial one is no good either.
I guess what is cheap to me is under £250 in europe for 7 nights and under £500 for 14 nights for further destinations. Do these exist?
Dont have to be 5 star but definitely at least 4 star.
Any one have any suggestions for destinations or online sights0 -
On a side note as someone in my late 20's I have always asked myself why I have not visited any places in my home country (England) during my spare time. i.e despite living in England for 27 years and all of it in London apart from 4 yrs in Bath whilst at Uni I have not undertaken any cultural/holiday visits in the UK ever.
I have not seen the Lake district, I have not seen Cornwall, I have not seen the Cotwolds and I do not even know about the history of the landmarks in London. I sometimes sit outside the Tower of London when taking a break at lunch and do not even know the history behind it all is. I have to rely on foreign colleagues of mine to explain to me the history of my own country.
I ask my self why this is and whilst searching for prices for a 2 week trip to cornwall staying at a B&B I suddenly realised why I have not explored the UK. Its because it is bl00dy cheaper to fly abroad and stay in a 5* hotel than to stay in a dingy B*B in Cornwall.
Surely there are some places you can stay in the UK that are not dorm type hostels for less than a 2 week trip to spain greece or egypt.
Why is the UK so annoying.0 -

There is a bit of a trough in demand at the end of Sept/early October, so perhaps a good time to pick.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

:rotfl: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this
We have a week off end July/beginning of Aug and cannot afford to go abroad this year - or so we thought.
After looking for some 'decent' accomodation with facilities at a reasonable price in this country we've decided to go abroad to wherever is available nearer the time. :rolleyes:Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
