How would you send a parcel valued at (say) £60 and be fully protected.

From what I can see, there is only one service offered by Royal Mail that both Paypal recognises, and offers compensation over £39, which is Special Delivery, but this is grossly expensive for anything worth a little over £40. Anything weighing over 2kg costs £21.65!!

Recorded delivery pleases Paypal, but doesn't offer compensation over £39, whereas standard parcels offers compensation, but Paypal doesn't regard it as a tracked service, even though I completed a form with a tracking number on it when I used the service (unless policy has changed).

Are couriers the only viable option? Which of course one has to stay at home and wait for them to (hopefully) arrive.

Second question:

How, in the event of Royal Mail losing a parcel, do you make a claim without proof of purchase price? For example, I'm sending a computer motherboard back to the supplier of my PC for replacement, but of course I would never have had a receipt/invoice for the motherboard on its own.
What is happening to the English Language? These are not isolated, but repeated every day.
'Definate', 'Aswell', 'Rediculous', 'Payed'...and the best of all 'Could Of'. How can anyone think that 'Could Of' can actually mean anything. You may as well write 'Could Zebra' for all the sense it makes.

what about using parcelforce which you can purchase via paypal, it costs either £10.99 for parcelforce 48 or £11.99 for parcelforce 24 for parcels upto 30kg and tracking all the way. I think the compensation cover is upto £150. Hope this helps

Hi, I have used pay per parcel lots & never had a problem with them, they use DHL, the last time I used them I took the parcels to the depot myself so I didn't have to stay in. You can track online & up to I think 30kg is £6.90 ish but you would need to check the compensation level,

I too use PPP (for two or more years), and have had no problems with them. The cost is about £8.20 including VAT, and you can pay by paypal, a bonus for me as I've always got some dosh in the account. Their standard compensation is up to £100.
Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.

Just remember some customers don;t like couriers as they have to wait in for them and sometimes getting them redelivered costs. At least with PF its easy to pick the parcel up and doesn't cost more to the Highlands and NI
