redundancy payment

was made redundant on jan 29th , im still to receive my payment ,my question is how long can my ex employer hold back my redundancy, is there any legal time limit on this , before i can take some form of legal action, i was told i would be sent by recorded delivery and it would be posted on mon 1st feb.

recorded is not next day delivery so it could take longer to get to you, plus administration could mean it just didn't get posted on monday.
At 5 days after being made redundant I think you are being a bit quick of the ball, have you been paid your normal wage for the time done?Always ask ACAS0 -
yes i have received my last weeks wages , will just have to wait , still to get my p45 from them anyway , thanks for your views.thankyou0

yeah if you have your normal wages I would probably not expect the redundancy untill later on in the month. However if they told you it would be sent out on the 1st then maybe on tue/wed next week give them a quick call just to enquireAlways ask ACAS0
