Run time error

I thought I had asked about this before but cannot fnd it after doing a search at the top of the page. Can anyone help me with it? If I go to Internet Explorer to read emails - I have tried to get them transferred to Firefox but with no success - a box appears headed "RUN TIME ERROR".

I could follow instructions given by individuals in the list of results after doing a search with Google but I always worry that the the sites offering help might pass on something nasty.

I don't know what I am doing wrong but these problems keep occuring on this computer despite running AVAST and suchlike.

It's AOL but when I had XP on my desktop I didn't have the problems I have now with AOL.

I don't even have the extras i.e. Bold, Underline etc etc. I do seem to have found a way to use it but I don't know how it happened. unless I just dragged a logo to the top of Google Chrome. I know this sounds vague but I tried so many ways to make it work in a different browser that my head got all fuzzy...you'll know what I mean, won't you?

I am using a SONY VA10 now with VISTA. The cursor jumps all over the place and people say I am obviously touching the mouse plate. SONY told me how to disable it but the words they mentioned are nowhere to be found in Control Panel.

I seem to be always fixing something, well... as far as I am capable.....when what I really want to do is read these forums and other interesting stuff.
