they have started checking online codes now :(

i have used other people's codes before (mum, brother, sister etc.) who don't have my surname or postcode and it's all worked fine but i recently bought somebody's codes off ebay and it seemed to go through okay but tesco called me and said they are refusing my order. they wouldn't tell me what would happen to the points. the ebay seller is willing to send off for the deal i wanted if tesco will give him his points back, but tesco aren't doing that as far as i know. they won't tell me what's going on because his details are covered by data protection, and they won't tell him what's going on because the same applies to my details!

    i paid £43 :(

    since when??

i ordered mine sunday night and i got them in the post yesterday morning £80 in deals

    thank you very much tesco's

3 weeks ago i used a mates and got £40 in deals

perhaps it's a random check that they perform, because i have done it successfully in the past but on this order they refused me, i placed the order june 27th.

i have just called to see what's happening to the points and they have credited them back to the original clubcard holder, so he will get them in his august statement and hopefully will convert them for me and send me the pass. i ordered a 5 visit tussauds pass with his vouchers, but have ordered a 5 visit pass in the past, and also days out vouchers and blackpool wristband vouchers all using a mix of codes donated by family members.

i should have just waited for him to order the pass and post it on to me but i was in a hurry for it. by all means try using voucher codes belonging to somebody else, but sometimes it can go wrong. in my case it doesn't matter so much because when the person gets his points in august i can ask for something else (a bit late in the season for a 5 visit pass at that point) but if it was a large amount of points you'd bought for something in particular and there wouldn't be anything else you'd use the deals for if they were recredited back to the seller in this way, it might not be so good. does that make sense? i've got a headache lol!

Just found out that Goldsmiths @ Heathrow don't accept the vouchers, so another money saving plan falls by the wayside....

Ones for large purchases ( mfi etc) do have you name on them.I cashed up £210 to mfi to purchase an oven at the time of their sale ( made them a reasonable price then)
I guess virgin, cosmos and goldsmiths would be the same and put the card holders name on them , although i havent had any of those.

Tesco points are a really good deal when used as they come. Why do we always feel that we have to stretch the rules to breaking point. Sooner or later Tesco may feel that points deals are more of a libility than they're worth. Then everyone suffers.

sometimes the till spits out a voucher when it prints your receipt. i get a spit around once every 6 weeks, it depends on what you're buying for example if you buy pampers you get a spit for huggies, buy raspberries and you get a spit for blueberries. i also had one for a dvd purchase. these are all extra points, e.g. 40 extra points when you buy tesco blueberries. my sister gets lots of them, for things i never get them for. tesco must like her more than me :D

Hi, I was given some tesco club card vouchers by a friend who has no use for them.I thought we could use them to order some deal vouchers for a day out, know this part is confusing me when i order them will i have to give my address or my friends as she has moved abroad?
Will tesco not issue the vouchers if the address does not match the one on the club card account(as it states on the voucher?)?
    any help appreciated!
    thanks

    can they be exchanged online??

if so just order with them via you tesco account,

if not ring tesco and change the address of the clubcard holder leave it a week and change them in the post they will come to your address ( u must know the full postal address to do this)

if you wish to redeem vouchers with your name on, when you order use both names eg: mr smith & miss jones.
