let's go back one step.
How much is your arrears?
What caused income to be less than outgoings?
How much would £737.00 be for your situation?0 -
our situation changed as my husband isn,t working, i only work part time, luckily we don,t have to many outgoings, apart from a hefty authorised overdraft, the money would help us but i feel like i am being cheated a little, although its money we wouldn,t of had.0

Then you need to add up the charges since the time he was out of work and see how much that adds up to. If the money helps your situation then accept the amount because financial hardship is about alleviating it not about getting 100% of the charges back.0 -
Have you read the latest article from Martin on reclaiming bank charges?
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges
Note in particular his comment:... there are no guarantees - while in the early days of reclaiming banks never fought, and if you went all the way you got a full payout, that’s far less likely now – so if you are offered a settlement – think about taking it.
Of course, the final decision on what you wish to do is up to you."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
