MTC
BTW, how did the legroom on MyTravel work out ?0 -
no - still investigating aparently.....
Legroom was fine.0 -
My travel does seem to have some cheap deals, the fly drive seems to be a bit of a money spinner when you add all the taxes, cdw and other things in could add upto an extra £30-£40 a day.
I flew with BMI and the meals were all in, no free booze but soft drinks were free. You get a little tv screen in front with about 10 films to choose from and tv programmes and games, legroom isnt too bad.
The only My Travel flight I've been on was to Turkey and it was horrendous, wouldn't fancy putting up with such low standards for 10 hours.
Martin recently went to Vegas and he complained about the dear flights, wonder who he flew with and if My Travel is the cheapest did he fly with them and if not why?0 -
i remember this guy saying he get a flight that took in denver , las vegas and Hawaii for his free 20,000 air miles +£5 taxes. the details of getting the card are in the main site under credit card freebies

i have just my BMI card and want to go to New England next Fall the chance to upgrade cheaply with a combination of air miles and cash might be the way i go rather than a large amount of stopovers.
as regard to flying to Las Vegas i went with Virgin Atalantic this May from Gatwick. things i would recommend would be .
1. use the Twilight check in the day before giving you the opportunity to get a emergency exit or Bulkhead seat the day before the flight. you can also book any seat except thoose online when you get your tickets
2. don,t get a window seat.... go for a aisle seat. leg room is cramped and 10 hours is a LONG time.
3. **TOP TIP** get a seat at the front ( preferably on the left side)of the plane on the way out to the states. that way you will be near the front of the queue to go throught border control. they only had about 7 or 8 officers to deal with a plane of over 500 when i got there the guys at the back had a long wait i think (as did the snob who was in first class who didn,t fill his immigration card in fully and got sent away to do it right when he tried to push in front of myself he got sent ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK !!!! ha)
Vegas is amazing by the way !!!!!!!
hope this helps :beer:Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

£110 for top of the range CDW/SLI etc insurance per week including two drivers , tank of fuel. I can't remember the last time I was trans atalantic and didn't have a in seat TV screen, probably 10+ years. MyTravel use A330's on the LV route from Manchester, fleet is generally one of the newest around. Same as most flights nowadays, free soft drinks ,pay for alcohol, pay for headphones. Meals were inlcuded in our price of £164. Standard of the flight was fine. Less legroom than AA, not as good as Virgin for drinks/ice creams , but quite acceptable.0 -

They do seem to be the cheapest if I type in dates around now but prices seem to be £440+ can't get as low as you got but £440 is a lot cheaper than bmi or ebookers at the moment. I will certainly get a quote from them next year.0 -

peak period now - schools have finished, bargains are harder to come bye. fortnight in Vegas, leaving last Wednesday in August was £360 whwn I looked yesterday.
One thing I just thought about with the MyTrave long haul flights. If you wait unitl the last minute to book, expect split seating - no matter how early you turn up for the flight, you will be getting the worst seats. On the way back however, the seats are not already pre-determined and are given out on the day.0
