very hard to 'bodge' a repair to a HG that would last for 900 miles0 -
I had a similiar scenario a few years ago. I won a judgement against the dealer but funnily enough I am still in court trying to get the money back. Your son needs to stop driving the car, repudiate the contract with the dealer and request the return of his money in writing. Contact CAB. If he wants to take it further he will need to get an engineers report. I had a report from a garage and the judge said it was insufficient because it came from a mechanic. It had to be from an engineer. When I took the car back to the dealer who sold it to me he interfered with it to disguise the problem. I won because the judge saw me as an honest respectable person and the person who sold the car to me was dishonest. Good luck because going through the court to get the money back will be long and stressful.0
