Hi All,
Does anyone how what the minimum standard is for a housing association bathroom and also how would you go about finding when it was last updated/replaced.
Reason I ask is we are looking to install a shower but we dont want to do that if the council/ha are going to/should replace whole bathroom suite.
Thanks in advance

Why not ask them... and surely if everything works then its not going to be replaced. If you ask would they not fit a shower for you? Seems odd not to have one!0

The toilet has just about given up the ghost, i mean it is just the flush which is easily fixed, but the flooring there is about a 1-2 inch gap where the wall has come away from the floor but they will not repair. They will not install one unless they do a refit of the whole bathroom.
I have read somewhere that the bathrooms should be updated every 30 years which would make it in or after the year 1980, i was born then so i dont no what bathrooms looked like lol.
Anyway I have also read that bathrooms are meant to have a socket for shaving etc but i am unsure if that applies to old council homes, hence the original question.0 -
the "standards" are a bit wooly and vague.
it says summat like, bathrooms and kitchens etc must be of an acceptable standard.
id like to be in a court room when they argue over that one!

and i think the "standards" are guide lines. not really enforceable.
