Budget Spreadsheet

I want to create a budgeting spreadsheet in Excel so I can keep a daily track of how much I'm spending. I've seen some earlier threads where people have recommended packages like MS Money, but I trying to save my money so don't really want to buy anything.

Does anyone have any tips on what I should include in my spreadsheet, i.e. column headings etc.?

I use Google Documents rather than Excel. Works better (imo!) and can be accessed/updated from anywhere.

If you want access to a copy of mine that you can save to your own Google account, let me know. (I'm away for the weekend so excuse the delay)

there are free products that do similar to MSMoney.

I don't have a list handy

Can I also jump on the bandwagon? I've been keeping a copy of a spreadsheet but it's not very good. I'd be interested to see yours. Also I have gmail but didn't realise you could do google documents. That would be ace
