Budget Spreadsheet

I want to create a budgeting spreadsheet in Excel so I can keep a daily track of how much I'm spending. I've seen some earlier threads where people have recommended packages like MS Money, but I trying to save my money so don't really want to buy anything.
Does anyone have any tips on what I should include in my spreadsheet, i.e. column headings etc.?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I use Google Documents rather than Excel. Works better (imo!) and can be accessed/updated from anywhere.
If you want access to a copy of mine that you can save to your own Google account, let me know. (I'm away for the weekend so excuse the delay)Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Can I also jump on the bandwagon? I've been keeping a copy of a spreadsheet but it's not very good. I'd be interested to see yours. Also I have gmail but didn't realise you could do google documents. That would be ace
