AEG Oven not working

Options
We have an AEG Competence 3210BU-w. The element went in the bottom oven so I have replaced it but the oven is still not working. The fan comes on but the light to indicate the oven is on doesn't come on and the oven doesn't heat up. The grill/top oven are working fine. Anybody got any ideas what the problem could be?

Check that any manual/automatic switch/knob hasn't accidentally been left in the automatic position.

If post 2 does not resolve problem, put volt meter across terminals of switch to check switch operating correctly. Take care as you will be dealing with 240volt which can be lethal. If you are unsure leave well alone. Alternatively remove switch from oven and check on bench with multimeter.
