Wipe Clean Paint?

Hello all,

I am going to have to redecorate my living room again thanks to my walls being covered in grubby little hand marks courtesy of my two little princesses :D.

Has anyone used these wipe clean/washable paints? Do they really work so you can wipe them clean without the paint colour coming off the walls as they are double the price of normal paint so don't want to be wasting money on them if they're no good. Can you recommend any particular brand?

Thanks!

I've used The Little Greene Company ulti-matt in my kitchen and love it - unlike the dulux endurance its truely matt with a lovely chalky finish and its holding up well to wiping so far. Will use the same in the other rooms in the house except the kids rooms where I will use the dulux endurance as its alot cheaper (LG is £50 for a 5l tin gulp) and I'm a little less bothered about the matt finish.

  • Thanks for that, have just had a look at The Little Green Company as never heard of them before and they are not that much more expensive. Dulux range is no good for me as I want to paint the walls lime green and they do not stock that colour so it's a choice between LGC and Crown Easyclean I think so if anyone has any other reviews on those products and the finish then that would be great .

Go to a Dulux trade centre with a swatch and they will mix the colour you want, you're not limited to the ones on the shelf.

Dulux do a Trade Paint called Diamond Matt which is truely scubbable. It is ultra hard wearing. Available from Trade Centres but the last time I used it it was about £50/5 litres. But well worth it.

I've used B&Qs 'Lifeproof' paint and also Wilkinsons version of the same thing - can't remember what it's called. Both have stood up to scrubbing really well and I wouldn't use any other paint now. Slightly more expensive than the standard range but well worth it.
