Bankers Draft

Hi
Some well meaning relative of OH's sent us a bankers draft for christmas, no idea why theyve chosen this method of gifting. Anyway they have spelt his surname wrong by 1 letter, should be ....lay but theyve spelt it ....ley. Question is should I just try and cash it in like it is? Or will this cause a load of issues? We bank with Yorkshire but have an account at HSBC we could use. Dont know if this makes a difference. Thanks

If the bank refuses to accept it, just send it back to the relative and ask them to take it to the bank and get a new one.

Just pay it in, I doubt the bank will notice.
