The first step is to find the will. Any ideas where it is?0
-
Yes I know where the will is can claim the house0

If you can find out who the executors of the will are, you should inform them that your uncle has passed away and that they need to execute the will. It is not your place to claim at this stage.0
-
Why do you say he left your mum the house as next of kin.
There is a will leaving it to you. He cannot have left it, in it's entirety, to both of you. It is either to both shared, or one of you. But it is what is in the will that counts.
Is your mum making an assumption here ? Or perhaps the Executors ? Is that what you mean ?0 -
Get your hands on the will, otherwise someone else could destroy it.0

As someone else had said find out who the executors are and inform them of your uncles death, and then they can start the process of sorting out his assets and distribtuing them to the benficiaries of the will.
PS Sorry for your loss0
