Warmsure fitted boiler broken

My elderly and infirm parents had boiler and central heating fitted through Warmsure/Warmfornt about 8 yrs ago. Their engineers used to service the boiler regularly but stopped Dec 2008 - when I inquired about this they said it was not their responsibility anymore. I have been in contact with them regularly trying to find what arrangements can be made but no-one seems to be able to give me the right advice - I keep getting passed around in circles.
What is annoying is that the cover was withdrawn without notice and when I complained they said my parents were notified - when the boiler was fitted 8 yrs ago  !!!
The boiler needs fixing as it has broken down - I am unemployed so would have paid to fix it myself but I am still somewhat confused about what obligations (if any) Warmsure/Warmfront have.
Any advice would be appreciated

After 8 years I would doubt very much that Warmfront have any obligations at all.
AFAIK there only obligation is for the initial 2 year warranty.
You will have to look for a local independent to fix their boiler.
What make and model boiler did Warmfront fit for them?0 -
Hi gas4you,
Thanks for the reply. I am not 100% sure which exact model it is as it encased in a cupboard, however, it is a Vaillant and they have instructions for a Vaillant TurboMax 824 series, which were left to them by the fitters - if that is any help??0 -
At least they fitted a decent make back in those days then.
What is the problem they have with it?0 -
Thanks for your help gas4you,
Fault F.28 - I have to press the pilot button which allows the boiler to work for abit but then it stops with that fault code again. This fault occurs intermittently but with increasing frequency.0 -

F.28 means No gas;Insufficent gas ;incorect gas valve adjustment ; electrode defective ;ignition lead defect; Electronic ignitor defective,A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
Sounds like a good service will cure it.
More often than not this fault can be cured with a simple adjustment of the gas valve and spark electrode.
The manufacturers settings for these are, in reality, not correct.
Anyone who is familiar with these boilers will know straight away.0
