Pixilation/freeze

I've noticed that my daughters 12 month Samsung HD flat screen TV, tends to pixilate and sometimes freeze, has anyone anyone any idea why?

When watching anything specific? If just Freeview it will either be a poor/marginal signal or interference (my neighbour's lawnmower does it to mine).
  • As fwor says, electrical interference from household gadgets, traffic, etc. I've noticed certain makes of car affect mine - mainly old vauxhaulls and some motorbikes.

Upstairs I have a loft aerial and the central heating going on and off affects the bedroom TV.

I guess you are both right. They have an indoor airiel in the loft and yes, it is whilst watching via freeview, in fact they only ever watch via freeview. We also noticed yesterday interference when someone was drilling next door. Oh yes, the neighbour has a wii, but they are moving out in March, it will be interesting to see if reception is affected then.

    Signal strength is the problem.
They need a decent outdoor aerial, appropriate to the area.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
