Friday 5th February - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:D
Goooood morning....here we are at the end of the week!
I didn't sleep for ages last night so will be crawling back to bed once the girls are out of the house.....in about an hour;)
Hope everyone ok today -

Good morning everyone.
Today:
did some clicks.
made a simple spreadsheet for my ebay and amazon items to show profit.
checked banking online - no surprises
made CC payment - regular payment plus added january's ebay/amazon profits to it and the "unused" balance from january's budget (stuff like the unused bus fares and groceries I didnt buy - not the tv licence and BB and other "save for" things). :j
checked meters - gas up on the last 2 weeks - not surprising, i've felt really cold this week and turned it up several times. Leccie - average use.
NSD
Wish for warmer and drier weather.
to do:
cancel lovefilm free trial (expires on sunday)
check unused appliances off at the walls
laundry at 30
any surveys that get offered.
try to have a busy day so I stay warm and don't need to turn up the heating

-last night bagged up lots of coppers etc with DH and will pay into account to knock off overdraft a wee bit - only found out yesterday that at my natwest you can pour them into a paying in machine for free all mixed up and they sort and count it for you for free!
-put a big bag of stuff out for help the aged - used to support them by direct debit but can't afford to just now, so this calms my guilt about that a little!
Have lovely days everyone

Afternoon all!
Had a rubbish day yesterday so today can only be better!
Have a day off today so have made the most of it and had my hair cut and coloured and also succumbed to a neck and shoulder massage (an extra £16 but well worth it). So a naughty treat spend but it is pay day and I'm not going out this weekend - watch me justify it!!

- Used a £5 Boots voucher OH gave me and got posh face scrub for 99p (needed one so a good spend)
- Also bought Boots own make bath products and got a BOGOF
- Had a quick look in Mr S as I'd parked there and got a nice gammon joint for OH reduced to £2.50 from £5 - it'll last a couple of meals and maybe some sandwiches so a good buy
- Will hoover in a bit and dust downstairs
- One wash and dry on radiators/airer
- Stay in tonight and watch the soaps and maybe catch up on Mo that I recorded lats weekend
- Look for teaching jobs
- Remembered to buy a Valentine card - its our first one married - weird getting a "Husband" one!
- Walk dog for free exercise
- Write shopping list for tomorrow - will try and use nice butchers where you can buy just what you want rather than prepacked quantities - difficult when only one of us eats meat
- No heating on until its dark
