Ear/head phones for Sansa Clip+

I'm looking for a set of replacement ear/head phones for my recently bought Sansa Clip+. The inner-ear phones supplied seem fine for bass, volume, and range, but are extremely uncomfortable for me to wear.
I bought a set of Sony ear-bud type (is that what you call the ones that plug inside your ear canal?) - MDR EX35LP. They are comfortable to wear, but the tones seem slightly muffled to me (and the bass.....wierd), and I have to turn the volume up quite a lot compared to the ones supplied with the Clip. I'm not overly fussed, because at least I won't be able to deafen myself.
I'd like a set of 'phones (inner or outer ear) that have a good range, and nice depth of bass. The outer ear ones I've seen seem to all be 32Ω though, compared to the 16Ω inner ears ones.
Will the outer-ear 32Ω ones work with the Sansa Clip+? If they do, would the listening experience be affected (volume, bass, range, etc), and would it affect the battery run-time of the unit?

How is the audio cable for the Sansa clip. Just a normal 3.5mm jack or a special type?
Anyways for headphones, I'm not a specialist but I use a pair of Sony Fonotopia Headphones (see link below). Dunno about frequency etc, but they have an excellent clarity and pretty good bass. They fit comfortable in the ear, although if you go to gym and sweat a fair bit I find you have to reposition them as they slip a bit. I happily can blast my tunes in my ears for 2 hrs at the gym and not hear a thing.

I'd recommend the Sony Fonotopias, they're pretty damn good and have perfect clarity. Not sure if there are stores where you can try before you buy
