HP C4585 Paper jam

I have been given an HP C4585 printer, it came-up with a paper jam error and the previous owner took-it apart and got it working, however it gave-up after another 20 pages with the same error.
I have tried all the usual tricks (but not cleaning the rollers yet, that is for another night).
I got it to feed a sheet of paper through, but it left a lot of creases in the paper.
Has anyone else had this problem?.
P.S.
I won't give-up on it until I have exhausted all avenues except 'return to HP'.
The printer has 2 new 'XL' sized carts fitted, and is wireless, so will do for my parents to print off their photos from if I can get it working.

If it's creasing the paper, it sounds like the paper sticking on something as the rollers are still turning. Can you remove the rollers and look for rogue bits of paper that may have been left over from the last paper jam?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0
