Llloyds

I have just got back from abroad to find that my bank as named above have authorised a purchase using my debit card 55 pounds more than what was in my account, I made the purchase for airline tickets 23rd December, discovered the overdraft 29 January as I was overseas and got back today to find a 165.00 charges slapped on my account, I know this is not ethical but is it normal?

Did you authorise the card transaction? Or are you alleging it is a fraudulent transaction?

Edit: Just read it again and I see you apparently did authorise the transaction, so yes it is entirely normal that you have received charges for trying to spend money you do not have in the account.

  • I just checked my account. There is now £120 of charges that have sent me over my O/D limit. These charges relate to the last time they DID THE SAME THING! I am trying to repair my credit rating and they are single handedly ruining it. I have kept my A/C in credit for months knowing this.

    BUNCH OF SCUM!

    Thanks NWSM :)

If you complain to the FOS about your bank without first allowing the bank the 8 weeks to investigate and resolve the issue (or the bank otherwise provide you with a deadlock letter) then complaining to the FOS will simply result in a letter telling you to first try to resolve the issue with your bank.

Apparently, the Lloyds former boss is now going to be chief adviser to the govornment, well i expect the economy to be out of recession within 2 weeks if he charges all the companys of britain like he charges the public.
