Take nothing else but a Chaps payment or a bankers draft that have seen be produced by their bank and make sure that you have some sort of bill of sale.
The bank may well ask for proof of where the funds have come from but this is normal and provided you have paperwork to back up the transaction it will be fine.0 -
Just to really drill the point home, make sure you watch him receieve the bankers draft from his bank. No matter how much he argues dont just let him give you one he 'got earlier'.
If you decide to go down that route of course.0 -
Get a white paper. Draw up a statement like you selling something and he buying something. Both sign on it. Take a copy of his IDs. Then ask for Chaps payment. Check with bank, once money arrive, "hand" over the "item". If the bank queries about this transaction, explain or show them the statement. If whatever government organisation queries about this, do the same.0

Better that than panic who could be a very innocent OP for no reason.
Since they posted on here it doesn't seem like it.
Getting money from well known companies and organisations is different. As they aren't money laundering they have no reason to worry.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
