speeding camera help

Hi,
I went down my road past the camera that I have gone past many times. I was not speeding - I was going at 30mph, maybe 31 max. The car that was coming on the other side was clearly speeding and just as I went past the camera, it flashed. I was barely past it. This camera definitely activates if cars going the opposite way are speeding but it doesn't ticket them.
So, I am worried that because I entered the camera area when it flashed, I will get fined, even though I wasn't speeding.
Any ideas about what I can do about it if I do get a ticket? Surely everyone uses the "I wasn't speeding" line??

I presume the camera 'flashed' twice? Will not affect you they measure the distance between the 2 flashes (using the lines on the road)0
