Does anyone know which companies send out cards with don't redirect on them?
I have set up a redirection and realise that I may not get some cards when I apply for them for the above reason?

If you are applying for anything to get a new credit card/bank account you should really apply with the address you live at....
I used my mum's address whilst I was at uni but she forwarded stuff to me, no redirection and I did live there in the hols...Kavanne

Theres a very good reason for the 'do not redirect' - to prevent fraud.
Kavanne's position is quite o.k. This is normal where a student is away studying during term time.0 -
I have never seen a letter that has not come from a Government Dept or Local Council with "Do Not Redirect" on it.
I think it would be in the banks interest to allow the mail to be re-directed in case you forgot to tell them, so someone else does not get their hands on your card. That is the whole point of mail re-direction after all.
In addtion The Royal Mail have cracked down on fraudulent re-directions some time ago, it used to be people could re-direct others mail without much trouble but now you need a good bit of ID and a letter is sent to each address advising the person their mail is about to be redirect to allow them to stop it if it is fraudulent.
But as I said I have never in my life seen a letter from a bank saying "do not redirect".
Edit: as said above their is a good reason for it to prevent, housing benefit, council tax benefit and all other types of Social Security Benefit fraud. The main one being housing benefit which again could be easily abuse many many years ago.0 -

Many banks use specialist courier companies to deliver some of their cards - rather than sending them through the mail - and as such those companies won't be aware of any redirection facility you have with the Royal Mail.
Its usually to do with how risky they think delivering to a particular area is - they can even ask customers to pick up cards at branches instead..
