Halifax Reward account

I have moved out £1000 today from my Halifax Reward account into my halifax nominated accound on line. Can i move this money back in Halifax Reward account straight away or do i have to wait for few days to qualify for another £5? Also am i allowed to open another one?

Thankyou

  • You can move it straight back in - but it gains no interest if it stays there. If it isn't needed for everyday banking move it out again.

The £5 reward is only accrued and paid monthly? It's not every time you put £1000 in.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

If this is the Halifax Reward Current account, then the £1000 should be going into it, not out, to qualify for the £5. Though you can of course move it out again immediately.

If it's not that account, just ignore me!

You can open a second Halifax Reward Account as a joint account, but not if it is just in your own name.

Ok i removed £1000 from Halifax reward account and then put back in. Then I moved that money into the 2nd Halifax reward account that i opened today. Tomorrow i will open 3rd Halifax reward account and moved the money from the 2nd account. Once i have done then cycle will begins again next month when i will move that money into my 1st Halifax reward account.

Accounts 2 and 3 are likely to be closed as the T+Cs allow only one sole and one joint account.

Also i transfer £1000 once a month frm my natwest into halifax and then straight back out again! Once i done it on the same day within 20minutes and at the end of the month i got my £5 interest! So in effect u make £60 a year doing it lol

The Ts and Cs changed end of last year so its now 1 sole and 1 joint account. So far those who had more than that before the changed Ts and Cs have been allowed to keep them

Yes you can transfer the £1000 in and immediately out and still get yr £5
