Not really a vent, just a moan....I have just used the spam button to report a spam post, only trouble is it just reports the whole thread as spam, not just the single posting. I hope the MSE team don't delete someones thread cos of this. Would it not make more sense for the spam button to be located next to the 'quote' and 'thanks' buttons so you could just report a single posting as spam, not the whole thread?

I think it just means that a moderator will get around to looking at the whole thread. I agree, though, there are certain people who are spammers and having the button by the posts would quickly identify them as such.0
