Reclaiming store cards possible???

Hi everyone

A while ago I had sent the letter about the charges being unlawful and stating how much including intrest they owed me or i would be going to court etc. They wrote back to me saying:-

Whilst i appreciate your comments, the Office of Fair trading has restricted its investigation to credit cards and has not consulted with Style Financial Services in relation to other products, including Store Cards. As teh account is a Store Card the charges are valid and will remain.

So i stopped. However i noticed others have said this is rubbish and had i threatened court i would have got them back. Has anyone any tips to reclaim these bearing in mind i have already completed the data access request and have all my account details already in hand.

Thanks in advance

Have a read of the credit card reclaiming article

The same basic principles apply to store cards.

Remember though that simply threatening to take the company to court will not guarantee you any refund, you may have to be prepared to actually attend court and convince the judge you are entitled to any money you are claiming.

    Cheers guys

I may have to start again from calculating intrest as of today again, i remember following the guide off this very forum.

When Style said that store cards didnt come under the rules i believed them as this very site said the same thing, that store cards were different.

I will push ahead now and see if they cave in.
