cant believe £7000 for a venue. I was talking to my friend today and she said shed spend £2000 on a photographer easy
she is insane i'm shuddering at the thought of spending that on a wedding is it not more about love than the cost?0 -
our wedding, so far, has cost £4000 - and we have a VERY cheap venue (£10!) and we aren't having to pay for cars - food is £3pp - i got the bridesmaid dresses from ebay and BHS, the adult bridesmaid is wearing her own shoes! The most expensive thing is my dress and thats £595 but we're budgeting quite well (but we cant afford a honeymoon!)0

Will see what I can find, don't know the area very well so apologies in advance if I find something miles away LOLFrankiemoneybags wrote: »Lincoln area:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Ours is around 3.5K all in...
£150 room to get married in
£360 registrar fees
£700 food in day
£800 food in night
£200 cake
£175 car
£300 photographer
£375 rings
£100 flowers
£100 candy buffet
£20 button holes
Then there's my dress, jewellery, shoes, shrug, bridesmaid dress, OH's suit & shoes, sons suit, babies clothes which makes it upto around £3.5K
Oh, say £4K, as the honeymoon is £550, but OH is paying for that separately.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
We don't really have a fixed budget as such. We know what we want and we know it's not going to cost the earth (as OH pointed out earlier it's worth marrying a tight @rse) Gee thanks!
Somethings we are doing cheap, somethings we aren't! Just asking people to help is the best thing! And take advantage of debenhams 20% off til the 14th if you can!!! ;-)Bump due 22nd September0
