Missing Money After a Transfer

I set up a savings account with A & L to drip money into a regular saver with Principality Building Society. However, I didn't add a ref/account number for sending the money to Principality. Two payments have bounced back to A & L, I called Principality to ask about the other two and they have located one of the payments and held onto it.

The other payment was sent back to A & L on Dec 14th, but it never turned up in my account. Prinicpality haven't given me any transaction details of the money sent back and A & L have no details either. Best I've got is a trace for the original payment from A & L - I don't think it's much help as I know it ended up at Principality.

What should I do next? Getting worrried! Someone has the money!!

Thanks
