This one has annoyed me a bit as it is NOT free vouchers as stated in the email. The email reads 'Free £25 worth of Tesco Clothing Vouchers' when actually these are MONEY OFF VOUCHERS and there is NOTHING FREE AT ALL. You have to spend £16 in order to get £4 off.
It is fair enough when the companies themselves market things in this way but Martin should know better. How many money savers will waste time like me following the link only to realise they have been duped and it is only a money off voucher.
OK rant over. I just wanted to point it out because normally this site is great and does not seem to be marketing things in a covert way. This one wasn't as clear as I'd like.

    Hi Hostie

Sorry you feel that way. It certainly wasn't the intention. I thought this a nice note for some, but not a huge note - which is why it only got one line in the email and wasn't at the very top.

Perhaps it could've been written more clearly, but I was trying to keep it short.

Having said that I do take a wee bit of offense to the phrase 'being duped'. What was the cost, one click to this page which explains it and sets it out in full details - allowing people to find out what the detail is.

As you can see in my first post I clearly lay out
    What are the coupons exactly?

This is what the terms state

"...entrants will be sent in the post coupons equating to £25 against nominated spend in single transactions on any clothing (£4 off spend of £20, £5 off spend of £25, £6 off spend of £30 and £10 off spend of £50).

Coupons will be sent within 6 weeks of registering. Registration is open to all residents of the UK & IOM. Only one registration is valid per individual."

Sometimes its very difficult to convey the info in a line, but if i write too many longer paragraphs all the text merges into one and people don't read it.

The aim of the tip is to give people the raw basics, then provide more info for them to go through the details if it interests then- and I believe it happened in this case. Sorry the deal wasn't as good as you read it to be (or as you believe i wrote it to be) but there is no cost to that in any way.

    kind regards

    Martin

But if you do that don't this site lose out ? i'd rather keep this site going with the odd link on deals i would'nt know about otherwise.

I had the same luck as CL who posted on 12 July. When I handed over the one coupon against a purchase of £30, the cashier asked for the rest and used all the others of lower denomination in descending order. She explained that the remainder after deducting the one coupon was higher than that required for the next coupon and so on. I should have spent more!
Also, I took one of the purchases back later because it didn't fit and they refunded the whole purchase price. Not sure what happened there. Maybe they didn't notice.
