lecture Needed please!

Dear everyone,
This past weekend I fell completely of the DFW wagon and need a lecture. Decided last minute to go to Ireland to visit my parents (£190), decided I needed spending money (£100) and then found out that a dear friend had died. My solution? Go and buy lots of clothes , shoes, rubbish (£100) that I dont need and now cant return as am not going back to Ireland for a while. So spent almost £400 in 3 days which could have gone towards a debt(or my mobile bill,)
Please lecture me as I think I need it.

No you need a hug picking up and putting back on the wagon. Sorry to hear about your friend, at least you had your parents for support.Barclaycard 3800

How can I lecture when I have been just as naughty
It was my partners birthday and so £80 went on shopping with him in MK (ok best part of £100 really) and another £50 on going out in the evening...
I know that this month I can afford it but I could have paid some more of my loan off with that
Hohum we very rarely go out so it's not like this is a habitual thing and I know OH enjoyed it so it was money well spent even if I think it ought to have been spent on debts

Sorry to hear about your friend, it's awful to lose someone and we all deal with grief in our own way.
You want to deal with your debts, is your budget viable? Have you built in money for treats and visiting your folks?
Sometimes we all fall off whatever wagon we are on and it's annoying when you realise the damage you have done. But give yourself a break and keep going and keep posting!0 -
Could your parents return the items for you if you posted them to them?0

Big hug from me too.
As for the lecture.....You're a very, very naughty boy!!!!!
Don't be too hard on yourslef, we all need our family sometimes and the end is in sight for youA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I have budgeted in treats and my parents who are really lovely normally pay for my ticket but I thought that I had had enough and wanted to see them without them having to pay again. So trying to be adult with money but doing it in a childish way - if I had waited a few weeks I could have got a return for under half of what I did pay. Its all about planning , which I am rubbish at. My problem is that I am too impulsive and dont often stop to think .0
