Disk Management allows you to delete and create partitions. Try selecting the drive and deleting the partition, then creating a new one. Should solve your problem.

An excellent partition manager that I have used a few times is gparted which can be burnt to a bootable cd

    How about "creating" a partition?
  • You don't say but I assume you are on Vista or Win7, and you are correct it wont let you.

use aliEnRIK's suggestion of Swissknife !, but be aware that :

    - Win7 will tell you it's not compatible and not to go ahead even if you switch off the UAC
    - Ignore it and install, but even when you run swissknife in Win7 - Win7 will still tell you your USB is still not formatted
    - But it is, take it out & plug it back in and hey presto it works !
