The handles are gold coulered with dabs off white gloss !! i know there is a paint stripper product like gell ? but wondered if there was a less abrasive way ? the gloss is on some off the gold hinges too

Thank you

    How big are the dabs?
If I need to clean up light fittings , handles etc I have used a blunt knife to scrape off

Your fingernail to scrape it off & then a babywipe.
Babywipes are evil. I've removed wet gloss paint from a carpet with them before. Just don't use them on your baby.

Brass hardware is normally laquered to stop oxidation (turning yukky green and black) harsh treatments will remove this clear lacquer....

    warm water as suggested.

Hi, I am in a similiar situation as the OP. I had recently painted my doors with white gloss and got bits of paint here and there on the silver door handles and hinges. I am reluctant to take the handles off and soak them, neither can I scrape off with fingernails (as hardly have any)lol. Any suggestions MSErs.
    TIA
