Bosch Diswasher Problems - Help Please

This question has probably been posted in several forms already but I cannot find any answers
we have a bosch dishwasher and instead of completing main cycle it stopped at 42 minutes left and would not start again leaving water within machine which should have been drained to waste. we have tried reset and tried a quick wash eco washe and rinse cycles, the time comes up as normal (30 or 93 minutes) but it starts cycle and finishes part way through showing remaining time but no activity- we have checked filters and and for blockages to pump and waste extract from machine appears clear - it leaves water in the machine as the final ejection of water does not occur - any ideas how to remedy - is this a mechanical (pump type fault or and electronic control fault preventing completion of the cycle irrespective of programme. Any help appreciated before we have an expensive call out which could be a waste of time/money or need a replacement NB Machine is only 30months old and s=does not get overly heavy usage

Please help ASAP thank you wee jenny

could possibly be water in the base which will cause the float switch to activate.take the side panel off & look into the base to see if thats the case,if it is the case then post back

try www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk very helpfull forum and engineers answere your problems
  • Have you checked the pipe that the dishwasher drains into? Especially if the washing machine and sink drains into it too. Gunk can accumulate slightly further down after the flexi hoses attach. If you disconnect the DW hose and drain (press and hold button if yours is like mine) into a large bucket/empty kitchen bin, that should establish whether it's plumbing or technical.

We recently had a very similar problem with our Bosch DW. It would start a cycle, and then stop with water in the bottom, never to finish.

Turned out to be the heating element - apparently, if the water doesn't get up to temperature, it will just stop and not finish.

When yours runs - if you open the door part way through, is it steaming like there is hot water, is does it seem like it is only cold ?

Try an independent repair person, to see waht they will charge for the repair.

Thanks everyone. Saturday tomorrow so will try again to fix.

Don't think it's the heating though as water is hot when programme stops.

    Will keep you informed.

Took advice from another thread on dishwashers and left it unplugged for 2 days then tried again--and it worked. Must have been electronics Just pleased it's going again. Thanks for all your ideas
