i know you dont have intsructions or anything but is the radio for instance battery operated at all? bare in mind theres water about and they wouldnt want to give you a blast. the other thing is the aerial plugged in properly it may be that the aerial has a clamp to connect it to the water pipe therefore using the pipework as a larger anntenna we do this at work cos of all the electrical interferance from my test bay to get around that problem.
questions does radio light up at all?
does any sound come out of speakers at all even hiss?
are the speakers connected?
if unit is mains powered have you checked the fuse on the plug?
if fuse is ok on plug some units may have a cut out on them like a push button at the back of unit has this tripped?
finally you dont think you have to hold one of the buttons like rst,+ or - for say like 3 or 5 seconds just to turn it on i have some electrical appliances that switch on like that.0 -

the hiss is coming out of the speekers thanks if you can or any one help me regs to this probblem0 -
right the little hiss means its working just that it is not tuning in, which to me suggest you need to try tune it in and i would suggest checking the antennea is properly plugged in. the other you can do is get some single core wire the longer the better hook it onto the plumbing pipes and plug it into the anntena socket. the only thing you need to once that is sorted is turn up your volume.
to tune in i would suggest holding down the rst button and try pressing the + button at the same time see what happens then failing that try rst and - button it really will be trial and error without any information.
the shop should be able to get some instructions for you even if is ex display maybe they could give you an online url for the company that supplied them?0
