I want to change a photo so it looks like a picture but I have no idea how to go about this - I've found the effect I want on a site https://www.desma.de (the blue box) but despite downloading paint.net, searching the site, and working through tutorials I am still at a complete loss.
If any of you could take a look at the image and give me a list of commands which would help me turn my photo into a picture like this one I would be really grateful.

Hi, are you refering to the blue image under the DESMA logo?
Its likely that was done in Photoshop. There are several other software packages out there that could do this effect. Not sure how good the free ones are but if you want to PM me and exchange email addresses, you can send me your image and I will do it for you.
