Me & my partner are in the process of buying our first home. We are buying a part exchange home through Barratt & I was wondering approx. how long it takes til completion - there is no chain. The solicitor has told me he is awaiting the searches from the Council - anyone know how long this takes??! (the house is only 3yrs old)
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Some councils can take a week to return searches, others 6-7 weeks. Your solicitor will be able to advise you, if they usually use this council, what the turn around time normaly is. Your solicitor may be using a search company, in which case it may only be 5-7 days.0
