Travel Insurance Direct are excellent. They paid out £8k when my husband had a heart attack on holiday & continue to insure us each year for the same condition (at extra cost ofcourse, but not scarey extra cost)
Anastacia....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -
The best for pre existing health probs (hip problems which I know will not cause a problem while away but none the less I have seen a consultant about and so have to declare and wisdom teeth which are to be taken out at a later date, the only thing I ever need for them is antibiotics which I am taking with me anyway) for a 28 yr old would be great to know before I start the task of phoning around!!Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0

I had a pre-existing condition, so basically my bank, who gives me free travel insurance with my account said I was covered for everything except my condition, which was fine by me.0

I realise I am a bit late for this thread but wanted to pass on the results of my recent trawl for travel insurance. I am 65 with pre-exisint condition.
2 weeks travel to USA cost £43.82 from Norwich Union Direct. This included included the rare cover for the clause "anyone on who your journey depends" which all the companies use as a get out if your sick relative causes the cancellation of your holiday.
My husband, who remained at home, has several conditions, including diabetes and heart trouble and I was assured by the agent on the telephone that should my husband's health cause cancellation I would be covered. This was the best all-round deal I found after checking Moneysupermarket, the Banks, B.Societies etc. I was delighted and will save myself a long job by going directly there in future.0 -
Try age concern and help the aged. Used one of these cannot remember which, for in laws and they allowed age related conditions to be included at no extra charge.
