Its a reg office ceremony and then she wants a meal afterwards as if goes according to plan there'll only be approx 25 people:) The evening will just be drinks with immediate family, possibly a little disco to invite more friends too but she's still deciding that:eek: Venue needs to be child friendly too..she doesn't mind what kind of food:)Confuzzled, do you know what she actually wants?
ie...
Reg office ceremony
Church ceremony
Venue ceremony
Would she want a wedding breakfast, or just canapes, or maybe a meal somewhere, or maybe a little spread?
What about the night? Big party, little party, what kind of food, what kind of location etc ??
Thanks again for the Saddle Club mention May they're going to have a look tonight:T1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

Happy to help
hope she likes it! I have had to discount it now as on second thoughts most of my guests are Chester and North Wales based so it would be a bit of a trek for them to get home, but thank you for leaving a reply Sal, its good to know that it seems like a nice place and it will help OP's sis to know that too.
Hi to you too Shell (and any other Wirralites out there). I'm in Bromborough...where are you? I'm getting married on 10/09/10...2nd time round for me and a church wedding this time, so a lot more planning and arranging to do...the only thing I'm sure about so far is the date!

Hi May, I'm in Bebington, so just down the road from you!
Everything is booked for our wedding (getting married in the Village near you), we just need OH's suit, daughters bridesmaid dress, suit for son and something for the baby, then it's a case of paying everything off!

You're miles ahead of me and getting married a month later! *resists the temptation to panic* :rotfl:
Actually The Village Hotel is another suggestion for Confuzzleds sister...I'd forgotten all about there. Its a lovely hotel and very easy to get to - do you know if they cater for smaller numbers and are you having the ceremony there too? Might be somewhere else for her to have a look at.0 -

No, don't panic! I had a baby last May, so I had plenty of time on my hands to organise and book everything!
The Village will cater for small numbers. We're having the ceremony there too, the room costs £150 to hire.
A buffet starts from £5.50 a head, then there are loads of other options to add to the buffet (hot and cold)
They do BBQ's which start from £13.95 a head.
A 3 course celebration meal with a drink is £25 a head.
They do do a package, which is 75 in the day and 150 in the night, but that's when you're talking mega bucks because you have to have those numbers as a minimum!
We're having 30(ish) to the day, and 100 to the night.
We're not having a meal after the ceremony, we're just having drinks and canapes (canapes are £4.95 a head for a choice of 3, and if you want to add other options, they are £2 a head)
You can't take your own alcohol and they won't allow corkage, so you have to buy from them, but their prices aren't that bad (not as bad as the Holiday Inn in E Port, they are shocking!)
Here's a link for the Village http://www.village-hotels.co.uk/hotels/Wirral/
It's only down the A41 from E Port, so not that far really!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Beaten to it - I was going to suggest the Village. I'm an exiled Wirralite in South London, but getting married in Leeds so I'm not very familiar with wedding venues round there, but did go to the Village for an 18th and the food was lovely. My brother had his first wedding reception in the Tudor Rose near the Two Mills crossroads (Chester High Road), that was quite nice and fairly cheap, but it's more a pub than a hotel.0
