Printing A2 PDF file

Can anyone tell me how I can print an A2 PDF file out on A4 paper? There's a poster from the British Heart Foundation that I'm trying to print out to put up in my kitchen but its A2 size and I can't see how to print it:o I've tried saving it but I can't do that either. I'm using Foxit Reader 2.0 and trying to print on a HP PSC1510

Thank you for any help. :D

  • What is happening when you print?
Do you want to print it full size or on A4 paper and stick them together?

If you want to scale it down, there should be a page scaling option in the print menu somewhere..

  • File>print>reduce to printer margins? (that's the option on Adobe - don't have foxit installed here - but there should be something similar). Failing that use photoshop or similar to reduce the file to A4?

I don't want it A4 size as I can't read the print :o I was wondering if there is some sort of poster setting that I can't find which would allow me to print it out?

When I want to print the document it scales it down to fit an A4 page but the text is tiny and I can't read it. Trying to print at any other size I loose parts of the information as if its printing it on 9 pages and I only get to actually print the centre one. Does that make sense?

It sounds like what you want to do is split up the A2 poster so that it will print full-size on four sheets of A4. Unfortunately you can't do this with Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit - you will need a commercial pdf writer such as Adobe Acrobat.

Alternatively, if your printer driver has a setting which allows you to print to an image (e.g. print to TIFF) you can do that, and then split the image in MS Paint into four quarters which will print on A4 paper.

EDIT: Triggerhappy's post above looks like it will do the trick. Better to download it directly from the developer's site though:
