Bank Loan Complaint

Catflea.....apologies but on asking a simple question I didn't expect so much critisism.
Lets start again.
Loan requested and had to go through a Personal account manager as I am Advantage Gold Customer.
I was not instructed to apply online or via an application form. The details were supplied over the telephone . I was clear on the amount I required and the term of the loan ( 5 yrs ) as I had already paid 1 yer off my 5 yr loan.
A week later I received a voicemail message to say the loan was approved and the paperwork was in the post to me .
Two days after that I received a one page document that required my signature and I signed it in a hurry because I had to get a flight and I was not going to be back in the counry for 3 weeks.
When I contacted the loan centre they said there should have been three copies plus leaflets on rights and charges etc etc.
A week after this an amount was paid into my account which was several hundred pounds less than I was informed and when I opened an experian credit file change alert it showed a new loan ....but instead of the term being 5 yrs as agreed it was 7 years......2 yrs longer than was agreed.
My mobile number is private and my home number is ex directory ...I do not supply it and when I asked the company that started sending me letters and calling my mobile about a debt that has nothing to do with me they told me they obtained it via a recent credit application......the only one I had applied for was Nat West .
All attempts since to contact my personal manager have failed despite leaving 5 voicemails on his mobile and several others with his colleagues . When I called the customer service number they told me I had to speak with my personal manager but as he wont return my calls I am stuck.
Am looking for advice...have I been miss sold ?
Thanks

No Critism intended, your posts did not however make sense.Lets start again.
Good Plan

Advantage gold is not normally indicative of having a "personal manager" normally speaking you would have to have some kind of private banking arrangement to have a 'Relationship Manager'. Did you, happen to catch this individuals name or have you dealt with them before? And do you have their phone no? Is it a geograpic number (i.e an 01 or 02) or a non geographic (i.e. 0800, 0845 etc)
Have you dealt with this individual before and do you pay anything more for your accounts than the (£12.95?) Fee for Ad gold? Do you have a charge card with the bank?
- I'm asking this so that I can try to establish some details on who/what this personal manager is.

That is perfectly normal, loan applications can be taken over the phone. Can I take this statement to mean that your existing loan was with NW and the figure borrowed was determined in part by the settlement figure of the previous loan?A week later I received a voicemail message to say the loan was approved and the paperwork was in the post to me .

This would have been the Credit agreement and is the "paperwork" for the loan. Did you read it and check that it was correct?
It is btw, virtually unheard of for all the correct paperwork to not go out

Have you asked the bank what the term of the loan is? Is the monthly payment the same amount that you expected or has it varied?
I suspect that the several hundred pounds difference may have come about if a payment was due on the old account that had not been taken into account in the settlement figure on the previous loan - again though this is supposition and you will need to check

I cannot explain this. There are however ways and means of getting ex-directory telephone numbers.

Without being party to the conversations and seeing the paperwork its pretty much impossible to say whether you have been "miss sold" what it sounds to me is more like theres been some confusion somewhere along the line. Either on your part, or that of the bank.
In terms of the manager, get his address and write to him, or ring up customer services (which number are you using btw?) and ask for the address to write to for complaints. Also ask for a copy of the loan agreement and the terms and conditions as you did not recieve your copies at time of application - I expect these will clear everything upProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
