when paperwork arrived only one sheet of paper was present and thats the one I had to send back....there was no copies or leaflets but I sent it back signed as I needed a quick turnaround.

    oooh John - schoolboy error.

Not sure your credit file shows how many years are on the loan too...?

Get down t'Natwest and re-jig that bad boy loan

Sounds like you were lucky to get any sort of loan with debt collectors banging on your door.

Would I be correct in thinking that with a "personal manager" you would be a Private Banking account holder? Which office are they based in - it MAY have a bearing on how to progress.

Was the existing car loan with NW? The settlement figure may have changed if the application was made before the payment date and the loan drawn down afterwards

Also, your post indicates that there has only been a very short timescale between this happening and debt collectors banging on your door - sounds somewhat implausable to me. Sounds to me like you have had a long running debt elsewhere and they have finally caught up with you.

Also, NW will not have sold your details on - they do not do that.
week later all agreed and paperwork in the post ....brilliant. However when paperwork arrived only one sheet of paper was present and thats the one I had to send back....there was no copies or leaflets but I sent it back signed as I needed a quick turnaround.
    (my bold)
I did not fill in any paperwork..the whole loan was done over the phone .
Those two sentances do not tie up can you please elaborate on how you think there has been no paperwork?

How crystal clear can I be ??? I DONT HAVE ANY DEBTS !!...I AM NOT WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.......

BUT I KNOW HOW THEY WORK BECAUSE I USED TO WORK FOR ONE SO I ALSO KNOW THAT THEY WILL EVEN LOOK FOR SOMEONE WITH A SIMILAR NAME EVEN WHEN ITS SPELT VERY DIFFERENTLY AND IS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ADDRESS ...

Now either offer some useful advice on how to proceed with getting my loan corrected to the agreed term or go and bug some other poor soul ....!

So lets get this clear shall we John, you signed and returned the loan agreement but didn't fill out any paperwork? And debt collectors are pestering you but you don't have any.

    That makes perfect sense! :T

I only worked for NW for four and a half years, so have more than a modicum of an idea of how they work. If you feel you have been wronged go through the normal complaints procedure & try to make a bit more sense than you have here.

I came to this thread to try and lend a hand, after all I have a pretty damned good idea of how NW work. As it is, you didn't answer the questions I raised in my first post and are now trying to be abusive. If you calm down and post something that actually makes sense I may be able to help you.
How crystal clear can I be ??? I DONT HAVE ANY DEBTS !!...I AM NOT WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.......

And thats the first time you have said that they are looking for someone else. Hardly Crystal Clear.
So they have found your details, possibly through the phone book or the electoral roll what makes you think NW have sold your details to them?

Incidentally, a please wouldn't go amiss either

Pretty unoriginal John - I prefer "as much use as Anne Frank's drumkit."
