Almost 3 years ago our bathroom floor collapsed due to dry rot, insurance didnt pay out as there was a clause which said we were not covered for any sort of rot, and hubby has been working away at repairing it,replacing all the wood but I am desperate to get my bathroom back in use so need to know what it is likely to cost to get someone in to do it.We have a floor at last as he has replaced all the joists and has started work on the walls etc.By doing the work himself hubby has saved us thousands already which we just didnt have anyway, quotes for doing the floor alone were about 6K!!!I just want it finished quickly.
The bathroom at the moment has been stripped back to the brick walls, these need cleaned of old loose cement and regrouted(on one wall, the only single skin wall, you can see right through to outside in places).
The roof above needs insulated then a sloped ceiling reinstated.Spotlight Lighting installed in the ceiling slopes.
The walls need insulated, plaster boarded and prepared ready to decorate.
The bathroom suite needs installed, all plumbing and pipes in the floor have been replaced by hubby and are ready for fitting.
So I managed to get the money for the new bathroom suite via selling stuff on ebay .How much do I need to get to have this work done on the actual room?
