I ordered two and they are genius, fit in your handbag perfectly. The oh is complaining though as they are bright pink... Who cares! They are so practical... :j0 -
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

I have a few extra large, extra strong carriers that I picked up on holiday in France - they know how to build a long lasting carrier bag there!
Also, strip all unecessary packaging at the check out. That way, supermarkets have to pay to dispose of it, and they might get the idea that products are hugely overpackaged! You get a few funny looks the first few times but it makes my life a lot easier.0 -
I saw it on the breakfast news this morning as well.0

BBC website "The amount of points earned will be at the discretion of check-out staff, depending on the size of bags used."
I wonder how this will work out in reality. Probably being pedantic, but if on one weekly shop you got a certain number of points for using your own bags, then the following week got fewer points because it was a non eco friendly checkout person would you try and argue the case for them to award more points? .... As they say every little helps!0 -

Despite the BBC saying "amount of points" instead of "number of points" (Feeling pedantic today) this is great news! And probably in some part due to MSErs applying the pressure!!Overpay!0

This is good news but why don't they just ban all plastic bags to encourage people to BYO. They do this in France and I didn't see anyone in the supermarkets complaining.Punky x0

Um when sainsbury's did the penny a bag for your own bags, many times they just didn't bother giving the penny.
We use a collapsible crate, freezer bag and bag for life. I wonder if they would count. They should because the managing director of Tesco was on TV this morning and said that they will be making boxes(cardboard I think) available infront and the points would be for them as well as reused bags.0 -

Borders bookstores are selling some as beach book bags...not sure of size or price, but they are natural cream coloured.
