Argos Sale And Warranty

I bought my wife a set of hair straighteners for her chrimbo last year from argos. and was sold a warranty for 3 years @ £7.99 thought i got a good deal. anyway the straighteners have now developed a fault and i checked the argos website to find that the item in ? comes with a manufacturers warranty for 3 years and that it is advertised as almost half price but it is still dearer than what i paid for it in december.

I find this outrageous i was sold a warranty when argos should have told me that it came with a manufacturers one and they are selling stuff at 1/2 price when it has previously been cheaper than the sale price

I think they are different things.Isnt the manufacturers warranty only parts and labour and the Argos warranty accidental damage.You should claim on the manufacturers warranty now,and you are able to use the Argos one once only if you break it.
