I remember a few years ago my Son was mad on "Londons Burning" on TV. I painted London landmarks (Buck house, tower, houses of parliment etc) on his wall with poster paint. Added an orange glow for fire & hung his collection of fire engines on screws.

I suppose you could try this with any theme. Army camp scene with action man, fairy scene with Barbie etc.

Just make sure the screws are secure. You can just balance the toys on so they can be removed for playing.

    I loved that programme myself.

I suppose I could do that for my daughter, I could have a bratz doll walking a dog, whilst being chased by a dinosaur as thats the themes my daughter likes.. lol..

years ago I painted a wall grass green and cut out my little ponies and made it look as if they were in a field, added fences and sparkly bits, Dd loved it. Did Ds similair but with american footballers on the field. Both were very cheap to do.

When my sons were small we didnt have much money,we painted their walls white and I saw a roll of disney wallpaper it was covered in figures of mickey, goofy, pluto and mini mouse. My mum and I sat and cut everyone out and then we pasted them on the walls it looked great,my husband drew a large pluto, goofy and mickey on each wall,we used all the odd tins of gloss paint to paint them with and then went round them with a black felt tip,it really brought them to life. The whole room cost about £4.00.

I did that too- then it was Thomas the Tank engine, Then Power rangers and finally was army camouflage- we had a fish net thing up in the corner as well and all his action men were in it.:D Probably the most it cost me was about £10 over a period of five years.

Daughters bedrooms were similar in that we had three walls all one colour then used car boots etc for bedding. One feature wall was painted with Rain bow horses in a meadow ( i used to have a flair)I was given a lovely set of bunk beds which were painted in pinky cream, and had a net draped over with sequins on them. Like a large fairy castle or so they thought. They both loved it and the same net was at the windows with butterflies sewn on.Then as they got older these were painted over in favour of one colour with art pop on canvas, acted as a divider as they wanted separate beds.

    Now she wants black:o

I got together all the cd's that had come free with various newspapers and cut photos into circles to glue into the centre of the silver shiny side. I bought some pink & purple little bows and stuff from a local haberdasherty shop and glued them on the top centre of each photo. DD loved it as all her photos were displayed and it made a great wall feature for next to nothing. I used about 30 of them and blue tacked them in a big circle on the wall.
