when to book florida flights?

myself and my OH are planning a two week trip to florida next april 2011 (early part of april to aviod half term) and we wondered when the best time to book flights is? what time of year do airlines have sales and who is the best airline to fly fry. we live near birmingham so would ideally like a flight from as close to there as possible, but flying from a london airport may be cheaper.

any help would be appreciated. thank you

    Half term is in February.
Easter Hols can vary from county to county but for many begin 9th April in 2011.
If want to avoid school holidays think about March or May.

As a starting point you could register for fare alerts fom Kayak. I usually chose under £400 as a starting price (I fly fron Manchester- better deals from London I think) You can select direct or indirect (usually cheaper)

Should add- some airlines, including Virgin, don't usually release prices more than 10 months in advance.

A customer of ours booked Thomsons flights yesterday for florida flying from manchester as they were a bargain and actually for the easter hols 2011 so presumably other weeks will be cheaper. They may fly from birmingham im not sure but she knows her stuff she goes every year and has been watching all operators since last year. Im sorry i cant tell you how much she paid i didnt personally do the booking and i dont work for thomsons either so im not trying to sell you something.

As already said, you'll be much better going a fortnight prior/after Easter.

Be careful around your dates as its very close to 'Spring Break' which is hoards of US teens getting drunk and making a nuisance of themselves.

    when to book florida flights?

    Simple.
When you've found a price that you are happy with, for flights that fit your schedule.
