I have microsoft security essentials and add aware on my computer, after reading Martin's email this week I installed A-squared free edition and ran a full scan, it found 2 trojans, one called Packed!IK and the other Downloader.Win32.Agent.cxuu!A2. following instructions I have quarantined them. As I am fairly computer illiterate I have hardly slept for worrying how much damage they might have caused. Should I do anything else.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me (in very plain english please)

Take your tinfoil hat off and sleep easy.
Malware/Spyware etc is more an annoyance than something to be terrified of. In extreme cases, it can be a problem but it generally just gets in the way e.g slows your PC down, redirects your search results and generally messes things up.
Don't worry about it, just run the clean ups and forget it unless your machine still seems odd.0 -
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds0 -
Thanks very much for your help malbytes found another problem and removed it, is there a free virus checker as well?
The only other thing that I need now is a piece of equipment to check for spy cameras in my home, I can't think of any other way that Chri5 would know that I wear a tinfoil hat:)
Thanks again
