Hi can anyone help, i got a loan a few years back about 8 years ago i think, i have contacted the company who the loan was through but have been told as the loan has been paid i cannot have copies of the loan agreement. Is this correct and also can PPI still be claimed back on a loan of this age. When i took out the loan i said i did not want the PPI but was told i had to have it or they would not pass the loan.

Hello there
for more info with the guidelines of reclaiming here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You could try requesting for your paperwork, but you may only be supplied with info going back as far as 5/6 years, saying that with one of mine I did actually receive info going back way into the 90's.
So for this you would send a Subject Request Access (SAR) and enclose £10 postal order or cheque payment and they have 40 days to comply.
Template letter to SAR with details here:

Good luck, please ask for help anytime as well.;)
You can try to reclaim anytime, but it does help to have some of your paperwork, so if its a settled loan, you may not receive the agreement, unless they supply this within the SAR, but other paperwiork within may be of some help. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
