Hi,
I took out store card (Evans) May 08 I think (don't have the paper work)
I don't really check my statements that much as I pay by dd (I know I should check!!!) I moved address (Oct 08) and forgot to change the statement address (again I know I should have!) I have just found out that I have been paying for 'account cover' as it's called on the paper work. I don't remember signing up for this as I don't take it out normally and don't have it on any of my credit cards ext
Could I try to reclaim this???
I am about to enter a DMP including this debt would this cancel out and chance I have of claiming???
Thanks

Hi Sarah
Have you requested for a Subject Access Request (SAR) they have 40 days to comply and send all they hold on you, there is a cost of £10 cheque or postal order payment to enclose with the SAR letter.
It is up to you if you want to request for this but if you do not have any paperwork it may be worth you doing this as something may be enclosed to help support your case.
More here with details and SAR template letter:

For any reasons you have for being mis sold, then yes its worth a try, and with entering a DMP it makes no difference, but what may happen is if successful they may refund your PPI towards the debt and anything remaining should come back to you.
But all banks vary from one to another.
Here below is the link to the guidelines of reclaiming, check this out, there is a list of mis selling reasons, template letters and so on, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them.

Hope this helps, good luck, please keep us posted and ask for help anytime as well.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thank you,
I will send off for the information. I can't remember being told about it at the time and I am almost sure the lady in the shop filled out the form for me!Crazy unorganised mum in need of help!

Your welcome Sarah, it would not surprise me, they normally do take over from these forms, as so with my experience as well lol.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
